*New Students: We accept new Basic students into the program during the first week and ½ of each new session. Trial classes may also be taken during this time period in any of the Basic hours.

Basic trial classes may also be taken on Fridays at 6:30 throughout the session - we will have an instructor on hand solely to work with new students each week during this hour in a semi-private setting. The fee is $25 per person which can be taken as a credit toward a 4-week session or for an additional drop-in class for 30 days from the initial lesson.

Our Basic course is progressive, and designed to provide a strong base for the aspiring salsa student. The flat fee is the same regardless of the student's attendance. Some students may decide, based upon their availability and ability, that attendance once a week is enough. However, most students take advantage of our offer to attend more classes. Some students may need to come more often when they first start, but everyone can do this dance - especially with the added benefit of tailoring the program to suit his or her own needs! We feel that it is important at the beginning of any new hobby to get a strong base, and one hour a week is rarely enough. We find that we can keep the class going at a faster pace and the students are more confident with their skills when THEY decide how much review is right for them. The classes throughout a week are not the same. We go on every day but we also review throughout the course so that all of the students see the material if they have attended class regularly. We provide a large variety of instructors in the Basic class. This gives our students an opportunity to hear the message in many ways. We know that at least one will then hit the mark.

We recommend that even our newest students take advantage of the practice session on Fridays to work with each other and to ask questions of the instructors and more advanced students. We are available to help!
